BECOME A MEMBER

The Tribal Exchange Network Group (TXG) is a diverse team of Tribal Environmental Professionals working with federally recognized tribes across the United States to provide access to knowledge, tools, and resources to accomplish tribal environmental data management goals.

Joining TXG means:

  • Supporting tribal sovereignty & capacity

  • Advocating for tribal resources & issues

  • Professional development opportunities

TXG is always looking for new members to expand outreach to Tribal Environmental Professionals and departments. If you’re passionate about supporting tribal sovereignty and have skills in data and technology solutions, we encourage you to apply for membership.

Make an Impact

  • Work Groups

    Members are encouraged to join one (or more) of TXG’s workgroups to focus their efforts and impact. Current workgroups include:

    • Tribal Training Team

    • Tribal Exchange Network Conference (TENC) Team

    • Communications Team

  • Offer Tribal Assistance

    Members build Tribal capacity through supporting Tribal Environmental Professionals in a one-on-one or group setting on issues such as:

    • GIS, Mapping, Story Maps

    • Coding: R, Python, etc.

    • Data management, flows, and collection

  • Lead a Data Academy

    TXG offers free online and in-person trainings that support all program types (air, water, brownfields, etc.) throughout the year - members share their knowledge with others by leading courses for Tribal Environmental Professionals. Courses usually take place over 1 to 2 days, and take 4-16 hours depending on the topic.

  • Spread the Word

    Members help TXG spread the word about our free offerings and support for Tribal Environmental Professionals by:

    • Sharing our fliers, emails, and newsletters with your colleagues

    • Tabling a TXG booth at an event or conference
