Marvin has worked for the Peskotomuhkati Sipayik Environmental Department since July 2001 and is primarily responsible for managing the Tribal Air Program. He also empowers and motivates the Tribe’s Environmental Department staff. His current duties include quality control and quality assurance of all environmental monitoring data, grant management of various sources of funding, supervision and mentoring of program managers, criteria pollutant data upload into the EPA’s Air Quality System (AQS), and ecosystem restoration of the ancestral homeland of the Tribe.
Marvin is on several tribal partnership groups: National Tribal Air Association (NTAA), National Tribal Caucus (NTC), and E-Enterprise Leadership Council (EELC). He is currently serving as the NTC Tribal Liaison (Goal Lead) for the TXG. By joining the TXG, he would like to be an advocate for TXG and support their mission. Marvin is also a past member of the Tribal Air Monitoring Support Steering Committee.
His education includes an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts from Haskell Indian Junior College, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Information Technology) and Master of Science in Management (IT Management) from Colorado Technical University. In his spare time, he likes to do a whole of nothing and enjoy learning new things.
