The Tribal Exchange Network Group (TXG) is a diverse team of Tribal professionals working with federally recognized Tribes across the US to provide access to knowledge, tools, and resources to accomplish Tribal environmental data management goals.

Joining TXG means:

  • Supporting Tribal sovereignty & capacity-building

  • Advocating for Tribal resources & concerns

  • Developing Tribal communities-of-practice

TXG is always looking for new members to expand outreach to Tribal professionals and departments. If you’re passionate about promoting the TXG’s mission and have interest in supporting Tribes with data and technology solutions, we encourage you to join us!

Make an Impact

  • Work Groups

    Members are encouraged to join one (or more) of TXG’s workgroups to focus their efforts and impact. Current workgroups include:

    • Tribal Training Team

    • Tribal Exchange Network Conference (TENC) Team

    • Communications Team

  • Offer Tribal Assistance

    Members build Tribal capacity by supporting Tribal professionals in a one-on-one and small-group settings on a wide variety of topics. Through both virtual and in-person activities, TXG helps Tribes address their unique needs as peers and mentors with relevant experience.

  • Instruct Tribal Workshops

    TXG offers free online and in-person trainings throughout the year that support Tribal professionals learning to improve their data science skills. Members share their knowledge with others by assisting with workshop lessons and sharing real-world examples using R, Git, GIS, data management and more.

  • Spread the Word

    Members help TXG spread the word about our free services and support for Tribal professionals by attending local, regional, and national events and engaging directly with partners and collaborators across various groups.
