Lydia Scheer has worked with ITEP since July 1998, when she started out as a student assistant while completing her BA in Anthropology at Northern Arizona University. She was hired to join ITEP’s regular staff in 1999 to support the American Indian Air Quality Training Program and the National Tribal Forum on Air Quality. Since 2014, she has managed ITEP’s work supporting tribes with data management needs through funding from the US EPA’s National Environmental Information Exchange Network (NEIEN) program. Lydia was awarded the Cal Seciwa Award for Outstanding Staff in 2015, presented by the NAU Commission on Native Americans, and has been recognized by NAU for over 25 years of service.
