Catherine began working for the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission in 2022, shortly after completing her MS in Environmental Studies at The Evergreen State College. She received a GIS certificate in school and utilizes ArcGIS Pro in her role in the Salmon and Steelhead Habitat Inventory and Assessment Program (SSHIAP). She provides technical assistance to tribal staff, including helping implement and run the exchange programs that SSHIAP offers. She has recently become involved in the Tribal Coding Group with Angie Reed and Alena Reynolds, and is excited to learn more about using R, Python, Quarto, Github, and other programs.
